My latest article examining director Joseph Losey and screenwriter Harold Pinter's subversive employment of gothic horror and film noir elements in their 1963 British film classic The Servant was published in May 2019.

The article is in the current issue of the academic film journal Journal of Cinema and Media Studies (Spring 2019, vol. 58, no. 3).

It is accessible through the database Project Muse, which is available through most university libraries. For more information about the article, you can read the abstract at:

During August-September 2018, the Belcourt Theatre in Nashville, TN will be screening its "Essential Westerns" film series, which will feature 26 historically and culturally significant Hollywood westerns from the 1930s to the present.

On Wednesday, September 5th, I will be in-person to provide a brief introduction to director Robert Aldrich's anti-Vietnam allegory Ulzana's Raid (1972), starring Burt Lancaster and Bruce Davison. For those interested in the event, you can read more about it on the Belcourt Theatre website and in this Middle Tennessee State University press release.
